1.) Problem: I got mold in the bathroom. Eww!!! And I am tired of trying to clean it over and over again. And it just keeps coming back.

Where: In the wet area, around the tub and on the walls…
How it happens: Mold is a fungus that likes to grow in moist or wet ears. It reproduces asexually, on it’s own without a mate and multiplies really fast quickly covering the entire wet area.
Solution: Some cleaning products that contain bleach or chlorine, which you can purchase at the Box store (Wal-Mart, Target, Drugstore, etc.) may be able to remove some of the stains. This is a band aid application and the mold usually grows back. Also, not many people I know enjoy the smell of such cleaning products (Chlorine may leave a stench for up to a day.) Moreover, these products are carcinogenic, so handling or breathing them can be bad for your health.
Solution: Install proper ventilation such as a window or an exhaust fan in the bathroom. This will promote air circulation and will speed up and dry out your bath area. Paying a contractor to install a fan in your bathroom my may cost of up to $2,000. Very pricey and still may not completely solve the problem.
Solution: Install a non molding surface material for your walls and your tub, such as Rebath’s SSP Acrylic Bath System. SSP stands for Solid Surface Polymer. It won’t crack, peel, chip or fade… ever. You get a lifetime warranty on this product.
