Problem: Ever been in the shower only to find out that the drain is not working and the water is not going down?
Solution: Remove the drain plug and make sure that nothing is clogging the tub like hair and other articles. You can use needle nose pliers to pull the hair and other debris out of the drain.
Solution: On major clogs you might need to use a snake. The correct way to snake a bathtub is to remove the overflow plate (this is the piece protects your tub from overflowing in case you forget to turn off the water) and snake through the overflow opening. This is not easy to do and you could damage the bathtub piping or the drain if you don’t know what you are doing since the snake vibrates and wobbles all over the place.
